Berkshire Championships

Team Kennet Athletes took a record haul of medals at the recent Berkshire Track and Field Championships at the Weekend held at the Eton Track in Windsor.

The under 15 Boys dominated the Throws, Ben East threw a massive 65.50 to be the UKs second longest all time thrower in the event and smashed the county record to earn Gold, but it was to be a 1-2-3 for Team Kennet as Kian Hockaday took Silver and Oliver Ford taking Bronze.
Another 1-2-3 came in the Shot with Harry booker winning this with 11.10, Oliver Gregory silver 10.44 and Oliver Ford taking Third.
Another county Record came in the Discus where Harry Booker threw 43m and another Silver coming from Oliver Ford, and to make it 4 gold wins out of 4 throwing events Oliver Gregory won the Hammer.

The under 17 age group Stuart Bladon took a convincing win and best time in the 100m hurdles clocking 13.97 and taking a Bronze in the Javelin 43.62.
Oliver Bazin struck twice as he earned himself a Silver in the Triple Jump and Bronze in the Long Jump and Pheobe Hoaen threw 35.71 for a silver in the Javelin.

On the Senior front Luke Angell made a welcome return back to throwing the Javelin throwing 52.27 to take the County Title, Ben Schiffer-Harte took silver in the 400m final and Bronze in the Shot. Newcomer Hayley Steward earned herself a County title in the Javelin and taking Silver in the 400m 63.6 and a Bronze in the Shot 10.18.

Finally Aimee Dickson won a Bronze in the under 13 Quadrathon, all Team Kennet Athletes earned themselves medals which is the first time this has been achieved.
