Our Commitment

At Team Kennet Triathlon & Athletics Club, the welfare and wellbeing of our athletes is our highest priority.

We are committed to providing a safe, positive and inclusive environment where children, young people and adults can enjoy athletics and triathlon free from harm, discrimination or abuse.

We follow the safeguarding policies and guidance of our governing bodies and operate as a responsible, volunteer-led, community sports club serving the West Berkshire area.

If you have any concerns about the welfare or safety of an athlete, please contact our Welfare Officer.

All concerns are treated seriously and confidentially.

Reporting a Concern

If you are worried about the safety or wellbeing of a child, young person or adult within the club:

1. Speak directly to the Club Welfare Officer

2. Email the Welfare Officer confidentially

3. In an emergency, contact the Police or relevant emergency services immediately

You do not need proof — if something feels wrong, please report it.

Team Kennet will respond promptly and in accordance with safeguarding procedures.

Codes of Conduct

We expect all members, coaches, volunteers and parents to uphold high standards of behaviour and respect.

Our codes of conduct promote:

Breaches of club standards may result in disciplinary action in line with our policies.
