Indoor Sportshall Championships 2016/17
Team Kennet hosted the 18th West Berkshire Primary Schools Indoor Sportshall Championships on Saturday at Park House S
chool.
21 schools took part with over 200 athletes and we saw some great performances all round as Falkland School managed to once again retain the trophy for their seventh win in a row. Last year’s runners-up Spurcroft School finished again in second place with St Finians taking third place by just 2 points.
The plate winners were St. Nicholas who held off Cold Ash St Marks school by a mere 4 points.
Best Field Event awards went to Chris Amison from Falkand equaling the Vertical Jump record of 44 and leaping 1.96m in the long jump and Emily Jardine leaping 1.96 for John Rankin school in the long jump.
