Team Kennet u13s to u17s took part in the Oxford Young Athletes League at Horspath in Oxford over the bank holiday weekend.
A much smaller squad than usual saw the club finish 4th out of 8 clubs.
There were some great individual wins coming from Ethan Kuijten in the under 15 boys 1500m in 4.47.9, Emerald Hill Sawyer had a superb day in the under 13 girls, winning her 100m in 14.7, later went on to win the 800m in 2.35.2 shaving a second of her personal best, her team mate Ella Cronk also matched her team mate in the B string 800m clocking 2.53.9, Cronk also won her high Jump on Count back with a height of 1.30. Cronk also came 2nd in her other event Cronk Long Jump 3.89 and Hill Sawyer made it a hattrick of wins in the B Long Jump 3.43.
In the under 15 girls Evie Lewis won her B string Discus 20.34 but it was Eliska Simpson who took a Hatrick of wins in all the throws, her Discus 21.09 secured the double, the Shot 7.00 B string and Javelin 16.26 A string.
The under 13 boys had the best team result of 3rd place, Reuben Kuijten won his Discus 15.14, Noah Lauder-Clark won the Javelin with a throw of 32.60 a new best, and Ben Daley won the B String Javelin 20.75.
In the under 17 men James Fenner won the Javelin with a throw of 39.76.
There were some good performances taking 2nd places from Chloe O’Reardan in the under 15 300m 48.0, Evie Lewis in her A string Shot 7.68, Harry Smith and Euan Jones both taking fine 2nd places in their strings in the 1500m in the under 13 boys 5.29.7 and 5.35.0, Elliot Murphy also in the 1500m but in the under 15 boys 5.59.6 and James Simmons in the Long Jump 4.80.
