Wessex League Quad Kids Match 3

Team Kennet Quadkids were in action in their third Wessex League match of the season at Oxford on Sunday.

Team Kennet had 9 U11 girls and 8 U11 boys taking part.

The boys section were 4th Oskar Larkin finishing 5th overall. Larkin lead the squad in the long jump, 600m and the vortex throw to top score for the boys with 209 points. Close behind was Luke Stiles with 193 points scoring personal bests in both the long jump and vortex throw. Malik Gaye and Elliot Bell were TK’s strongest sprinters in the 75m both clocking 12.6s. In the 600m Ronny and Rudy Bowsher were again strong in this event clocking 2:07 and 2:10. Other boys taking part were Henry Bell and Joseph Rayfield. 

The Girls came 2nd overall with Ella Larkin top scorer with 184 points at 3rd overall. Her best event was 600m clocking 2.05 and just behind her was Matilda Clare clocking 2.14 and Quinn Joyce a second behind with 2:15. It was close in the 75m sprint again with Clare 12.4s and just behind her Penelope Lyth 12.6s. Lyth was the clubs best long jumper on the day leaping 3.21m just ahead of Clare 3.19m and Ella McDonald with 3.05m. Other girls taking part were Rose Bell, Amelia Rehill, Harriet Saunders and Elora Murray all putting in fantastic performances and scoring great points for the team to secure the second place. 

Both squads are strong heading into the final Wessex League match of the season.
