Oxford League Match 1

Team Kennet took part in the first of the Oxford Leagues at the weekend, with a much depleted squad than normal the athletes secured several wins on the day.

In the female section Ellie Armstrong won her shot with a 9.15m throw, and later coming second in the High jump. Sophie Wheadon in the under 15 girls secured a wis,  in the Discus 25.11, and two second places in the Shot and Javelin, Chloe Collins won her B string Shot. Francesca Young made a welcome return  to finish 2nd in the long Jump 4.34 and pick up a massive  best time in the 300m for 3rd place 45.4. Rebecca Thomson came 2nd in the 1500m A string with twin Sister Georgina taking a B string win, in the Shorter 800m Annelise Gale took 3rd place. The sprints saw Ellie Kerslake finish 3rd 14.6 and Chloe Collins coming 2nd in the B 15.0, both teamed up in the 200m finishing 5th and 3rd. The under 13 girls started the day with a win from Amiee Dickson in the 70m hurdles 14.4. Kirsten Fraser had to settle for 3rd in the 1500m and Eve Brown took the B string win, the Shorter 800m a superb run from Annabel Todd won by nearly 100m in a time of 2.31.3, Todd came 3rd in the Shot, the Discus Dickson came 3rd A and Charlie Pennicott 2nd B.

The boys saw a very low turnout, In the under 13 boys 800m two third places came from Noah Kemp and Kian Darcy-Masters, on the field Oliver Ford came 2nd in the Shot, taking first place in the Discus, and Kian Hockaday coming 2nd in the Javelin.
