Mad Mile

Last updated by Ian Killner on February 18th, 2010

The Mad Mile caters for all ages and abilities. It is just over 4 laps of the track and it’s as serious as you want it to be.  The idea is for those of you who are training hard or just keeping fit to have ago and see how much you can improve over the summer.

The event has been named the Comely Mad Mile in memory of Alex Comely (Big Boy) who died in February 2008.

The dates for this year’s races will be

Wednesday 21st  April at Crookham Track

Wednesday 19th May at Park House School

Wednesday 16th June at Park House School

Wednesday 7th July at Park House School

Wednesday 15th September at Crookham Track

The races will start at 7.10pm. Training sessions will end at 7pm on race nights to allow coaches and helpers time to either warm up for the race if running or to help setting up if not.

You do not have to be a club member to compete and parents/relatives are positively encouraged to take part. There will be a number of awards at the end of the season. These will be dependant on the numbers taking part but to qualify you need to complete 3 of the races.
