The 2nd Southern Men’s League fixture of the summer took place at Abingdon on Saturday. The match saw Team Kennet’s athletes just getting the better of Yeovil and Wells to take 2nd place behind winners Wycombe.

The end of May saw Team Kennet athletes competing in a number of Open Events.

Team Kennet’s Southern Womens Division 1 West match was held at Guildford on Saturday which was the clubs home Match. A much weakened team due to events taking place in Newbury saw the club finish with a well deserved third place

Jack Hatton achieved his first ESAA qualifying time of the season when he won the U/17 mens 100m Hurdles (14.2) in the NYAL at Bracknell yesterday. More interestingly his focus for the day was to run against Adam Thomas from Bracknell the current UK number 1 over 100m in the U/17 age [...]

Team Kennet were well represented at the Berkshire Track and Field Championships on Sunday held at Bracknell, and also took their fair share of medals.
The under 17 age group picked up the most medals for the club as they dominated this age group. Yolanda Nicholson picked up three medals, a Gold in the long jump [...]

On a blustery May afternoon Team Kennet hosted the first Southern Men’s League of the year in Oxford last Saturday.

Team Kennet started their Southern Womens League campaign at Horspath Stadium in Oxford. After gaining promotion last year they and now in Division 1 West the going was a bit tough although there was some outstanding performances on the day.

Team Kennet carried on from where they were last year with a well deserved second place in a high scoring match with the under 15 girls winning their age group and all the other age groups coming second on the day. Team Kennet athletes went to the Radley open meeting on Sunday 10th April where they took their fair share of medals.
Gold medal winners were Oliver Hewitt U13 boys Discus 14.35, Georgina Bradford u15 girls 1500m in 5.08.2 and Yolanda Nicholson in the U17 200m with a fast 26.6.
