			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The Newbury Park Run came to town on Saturday, which is supported and sponsored by the club, on a very cold winters day of -10 degrees a massive 317 athletes ran around the Greenham Common.<br />
A good turnout by club members saw nearly 30 from the club run round, Guy Watts came in 2nd overall with 17.31 while Yaz Ryder came in 2nd lady with 20.06, Chloe Scaplehorn was 3rd lady 21.45 and youngster Sam Hart who is only 10 ran a very quick 20.23.</p>

<p> <a href="http://teamkennet.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/s-of-england-road-relays-2011-016.jpg"><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-5165" src="http://teamkennet.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/s-of-england-road-relays-2011-016-300x225.jpg" alt="" width="108" height="81" /></a>The Under 15 Girls produced the best team result of the day, being at the younger end of the age group the girls gained in confidence as Yasmin Ryder led the A team home in a brilliant 9th place with 11.10 run, she handed over to Georgina Bradford as she held the team in 14th place(12.06) and Chloe Scaplehorn took the final leg to bring the team home in 18th place (12.12) with overall time 35.28. The B team started of with Rhea Walter (12.53) who passed onto Amelia Wenlock where she gained ground to come in 47th with 12.36 with Alexandra Maughan leading the team home in 46th place (13.14) with 38.43. The C team came 73rd out of the 81 teams led by new Comer Keren Gillis (13.29) then Honor Bowers.</p>
<p><a href="http://teamkennet.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/s-of-england-road-relays-2011-010.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-5164" src="http://teamkennet.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/s-of-england-road-relays-2011-010-300x225.jpg" alt="" width="108" height="81" /></a>The under 13 boys as with the girls are bottom of their age group, and a well deserved 20th place was greatly achieved, Jamie Maughan led the A team out coming in with 11.44 for 29th place, he handed over to Jordan Hole who gained a few places clocking 12.05 in 26th, next was new comer Sam Hart who ran a blinder clocking 11.32 and moving the club to 18th, Mitchell Tate known as a sprinter brought the team home in 20th place with 47.57. The B team of Evan Hartley 13.35, Matt Grey 13.39 and Alex Davis 13.57 brought them home in 50th place out of 60 plus teams</p>
<p><a href="http://teamkennet.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/s-of-england-road-relays-2011-001.jpg"><img class="alignright size-medium wp-image-5163" src="http://teamkennet.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/s-of-england-road-relays-2011-001-300x225.jpg" alt="" width="108" height="81" /></a>The u13 girls had a good turnout with 74 teams competiting, Carys Cox led the A team out coming in 34th with 9.20, she passed onto Jordan Donavon who slipped to 35th with her 9.45, but a great run by Lexi Fellows who is bottom of her age group ran 9.13 to bring the team home in 29th with 28.19. The B team saw Susie Drake home in 65th 10.06 to tag onto Imogen Harding who also ran a great race with a 9.52 to 55th, and the Anchor leg was Chloe Jones clocking 10.52 for 57th place with 30.50. The C team Harriet Allan ran 10.58 and Carli Nicholls clocking almost the same time 10.57 came in 69th place.</p>
<p><a href="http://teamkennet.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/s-of-england-road-relays-2011-029.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-5162" src="http://teamkennet.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/s-of-england-road-relays-2011-029-300x225.jpg" alt="" width="108" height="81" /></a>The under 15 Boys race saw Nathan Gillis run a superb leg, he came in with the leading group joint 4th with 9.41 which was the7th fastest run of the day, he handed over to Danny Collis who slipped to 14th clocking 11.11, he then handed to Aaron Conway who slipped back to 23rd (12.15) who then handed to Alex Hanson (11.26) who kept his placing bringing the team home in 23rd place which was well deserved.</p>
<p>Nathan is the Highest placed Team Kennet athlete ever in the Road Relays. </p>

<p>Lee Jones also tackled the race and came 85th in 92.45 and Sandi Davies came 1105th in 2 hours 1min 58 secs.</p>
<p>Mary Allan picked up 2nd lady in the Kingsclere Autumn 10k race clocking 51.59</p>

<p>Team Kennet had a great day out at this Year London Marathon, going in a team mini bus at 5am in the morning is not the best way to be looking at running 26.2 miles, but it seemed to pay of for the clubs athletes. Tom Milburn ran his first ever marathon and just missed the 3 hour mark to finish 1102nd place with 3.00.52, Guy Watts was next in with 3.16.04 top 2400, followed by vet 45 John Marriott 3.19.18. Jenny Eaton who has been training very hard was rewarded with a brilliant 3.25.06 to finish 363rd lady, Lee Jones was next home in 3.34.36 then Simon Whatson 3.39.38, Simon Berry 3.42.51, Yvonne Pape 3.42.51 and Nikki Thomas 4.47.48</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Team Kennet&#8217;s Rhea Walter was among over 300 athletes that took part in the 4K race,  split in 3 age groups &#8211; U17, U15 &amp; U13. It was a very fast race, but Rhea completed the 4k course in 17.40 and came in 3rd in her age group. For this she received a medal and winners plaque.</p>
<p>As the 1st, 2nd &amp; 3rd boy and girl in each age group qualify for entry into the Mini London Marathon, Rhea will hopefully be taking part in that race next month.</p>

<div>Also on Sunday, Georgina Bradford came 2nd female in the Green Park run which is run with the Reading half marathon, she came 13th overall out of 1135 finishers and on Saturday. Jenny Eaton came 71st in the Dorney Lake Half Marathon but took home 2nd female vet in a new p.b. of 1.34.33 and Tom Munt ran the Fleet Half Marathon where he won the vet 50 age group clocking a fast 1.16.25 for top 20 finish overall.</div>
