Team Kennets Stuart Bladon shot to UK Number one for the Decathlon as he claimed a new club record of points tally with 7242pts in Tucson AZ USA finishing in 4th place overall.
The day started with 100m sprint clocking 10.96 3rd fastest time on the day, also equaling the TK club record, next up was the Long Jump, not going to plan he still lept 6.47m which placed him 8th dropping him down the field, he went better in the Shot coming 5th with a throw of 12.46, one of his favored events the High Jump he cleared 1.85 for 6th place, to keep him in 6th overall, and finally on Day 1 was the 400m where he claimed another TK record clocking 49.04 to finish 3rd and moving him up the rankings ready for day 2.
Day 2 started well as he broke another club record in the 110m hurdles in a fast 15.2 6th fastest on the day, Discus was next up throwing 37.07 for 8th place, then it was the Pole Vault where he cleared a huge 4.50m just missing out on his P.B, this was good enough for 5th place, edging him near to the top 3 overall, Javelin was the 9th event and throwing 52.88 just missing his best, claiming 5th, then finally the last event the grueling 1500m for the decathletes, but not so for Bladon as he stormed round to win this event in 4.37.5 which was 100pts short of 3rd place.
