Team Kennet Quad kids had another successful day in Basingstoke for Match 3 of the Wessex League finishing 2nd place on the day.

The U11 Boys went out first on the day with 8 taking part. In the long jump Flynn Sanderson leaped 3.30m scoring good points for the team. In the sprints, Connor O’Riordan was quickest clocking 12.30s closely followed by Sanderson with 12.5s and Samuel Atkins 12.6. In the vortex O’Riordan threw furthest with 24.38m, Joshua Kuijten just behind with 24.36m. It was another hot day but the boys ran well in the 600m but Atkins was quickest show clocking 2:01:01. Other boys taking part Brodie Sanderson, John Bailey, Leo Jenkins, and Miles Phoenix. On the day, the boys finished 3rd place with 705 points.
First up for the girls was the long jump with Matilda Clare leaping the furthest with 3.73m followed by Penelope Lyth 3.66m. Next up the 75m sprints Clare sprinted to the finish line in 11.7s to clock one of the fastest Under 11 girls times on the day. Ella Larkin again led the way with the 600m clocking 1:55:7 to beat the current Team Kennet Club Record for U11. Finally in the Vortex Clare threw furthest with 25.40m, Larkin 24.72m and Alice Stratford 24.00m. Other girls taking part in the Squad of 10 Evie Kearney, Elodie Burdett, Orlagh Stratford, Ella McDonald, Gracie Cooke and newcomer Ella Parsons. The girls team finishing first on the day with 842 points with Tilly Clare 2nd 230pts, Ella Larkin 3rd 225 pts and Penelope Lyth 212pts 5th. After two matches the girl are currently top of the league out of 26 teams.
