Team Kennet will see a record number of club athletes take part in the English Schools Athletics Finals next month.

Six Club athletes will compete on 12/13 July at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham

Ben East – Javelin
Phoebe Hoaen – Javelin
Liam Cawley – Javelin
Harry Booker – Discus
Sophie Wheadon – Discus
Stuart Bladon – 110m Hurdles

The Berkshire Schools Championships also saw a record number of TK athletes take part and many came back as Berkshire Schools Champions.

The Inter Boys Ben East threw 60.51 to win and is tipped to win the English Schools title, Harry Booker also won the Discus 40.06.
Senior Boys Stuart Bladon won his 110m hurdles in 14.88 while in the Junior Boys Oliver Ford just missed out on selection to win his Discus 31.48 but in the Javelin Liam Cawley won his Hampshire Schools event with a 46m throw tipped for a medal in the finals.

The Inter Girls Sophie Wheadon won her Discus 33.91 and Phoebe Hoaen her Javelin 40.65 both girls stand a good chance getting on to the Poduim, Anna Montagne came 2nd in the High Jump 1.61 and same position matched by Ellie Armstrong in the Shot 9.69. elsewhere in the same age group Georgina Thomson was 7th in the 800m and her twin sister Rebecca came 7th in the 1500m, Amy Russell came 5th in the final of the 200m 28.7 and in the 100m Faye Saunderson came 4th 13.3 and Izzy Kerslake 6th both in the final.

The Junior Girls Gemma Moon came 2nd in the high jump 1.45 and Annalise Gale was 10th in the 800m.
The Senior Girls Charlotte Booker came 3rd in the Hammer.
Junior Boys Kian Hockaday was 4th in the Javelin and finally in the Inter Boys Ethan Haines was 4th in the 400m final 54.3 and Ben Lawrence was 2nd in the Javelin 41.56
