Team Kennet Athletes secured their best ever medal haul at the recent County Championships and claiming 3 County Championship Best Records, taking home 14 Gold, 10 Silver and 5 Bronze medals.
The under 17s continued to dominate and Ben East took Gold in the Javelin with a big throw of 68.14 and take the Championship Record at his first attempt, training partner Phoebe Hoaen also Struck Gold and also another new Championship record in her Javelin throwing 42.09.
Oliver Bazin came 4th in the Long Jump 5.12 and came 5th in the 200m final 24.6
Anna Montagne won her Shot with a throw of 10.42 and also took the High Jump gold with 1.55 but had to settle for Silver in the 80m hurdles 12.98.
Harry Booker struck Gold in the Discus 37.90 and took Silver in the Shot 10.92, team mate Oliver Gregory claimed two Bronze medals in the Discus 30.81 and Shot 10.49.
Sophie Wheadon won herself Gold in the Discus winning with a throw of 32.67 increasing her own club record, and took Silver in the Shot with a throw of 10.36
Stuart Bladon added Gold medals as well in the under 20 mens first in the 110m hurdles 15.5 breaking the club record and then in the High Jump 1.70. Luke Angell also took another County title winning his 10th in a row throwing 54.75m
The under 15s also did well, New Comer Liam Cawley took part in the Hampshire Championships winning the Javelin with a throw of 51.31 and setting a new Hampshire Championship best Record and moving him in to UK number 2, at the same championships Noah Kemp made it in to the 1500m final to finish 7th with a new personnel best time of 4.48.82. Matthew Jones came 4th in the High Jump with 1.45m
Oliver Ford made sure that he didn’t miss out on Gold medals in the Throws as he won the Discus with 30.30m and took Silver in the Shot 10.39 and finished 4thin the Javelin 31.88, Kian Hockaday went one better to earn himself a well deserved Bronze medal 32.84.
Charlotte Absolom was rewarded with a Silver in the High Jump 1.35 and came 5th in the 75m hurdles final 13.37.
The Senior Ladies Hayley Steward joined the throwers to win a Gold in the Shot with 11.11m throw and then went on to win a Silver in the 400m with a time of 62.54, and later struck Gold again in the Long Jump 5.12
The under 20s Charlotte Booker came 2nd in the Discus 24.65 and 4th in the Hammer and Caitlin Nowell came 4th in the 400m 66.36
Ben Schiffer-Harte took part in the Senior men and he to claimed medals, he won the 800m event and then came 2nd in the Shot
Claire McGonnell took part in the Quadrathon, her best event was the 600m clocking 1.55.4 and then her 75m sprint 11.6
Zoe Allen took part in the Oxfordshire Championships in the under 13 age group coming back with Four Medals, Allen earned herself Silver in the Javelin and Shot and two Bronzes in the sprints 100m and 200m claiming new personnel bests in all four events
