Team Kennet under 11s were finally beaten in the Wessex Young Athletes League held at Swindon, by a mere 3 pts.
The girls managed to stay unbeaten and have secured their age group league while the boys came 4th.
The result also took the club off the top in to second place just 70pts behind New Forest Juniors.

On the day Zoe Allen was the clubs best u11, she won the girls section with a score of 238pts second highest in the league this year just 1 point behind clubmate Clare McGonnell. Zoe Claimed a new Club Record that has stood for 15 years in the 75m sprint clocking 11.0, this was the second fastest time of the day, she also clocked second fastest 600m time of the day with a new best time of 1.56. McGonnell came second overall on the day, her best result was Vortex throwing second longest of29.49, while the longest throw went to team mate Neve Wright throwing 30.19 and finishing5th overall. The clubs fourth best scorer was Tilly Sideso she clocked 11.5 for the 75m and finished 7th overall. The Club had 5 athletes in the top 10 with Bethany MacLean making the top 10.
The Boys couldn’ t manage anyone in the top 10 but made most in top 20, James Fenner taking the Yellow vests top spot, his Vortex being best 37m, Jacob Avery was next best clocking 11.3 for 75m, ollie Tozer was on course to make top 5 but had to pull out of the long jump after a 3.51 leap with a injury preventing him from the 600m, it was down to Jack Pyke and Josepth Hoaen to score high for the club.
