Team Kennet were in a table top match in their Southern Athletics League match at Winchester on Saturday. The club saw 17 individual wins but could only finish 3rd place in a close match

Most of the wins came from the Women’s section, the field events picked up high points firstly a superb double win came in the Hammer to start the day of with Alisha Bradford throwing 28.44 and Charlotte Booker 28.42, almost at the same time another double was happening in the long jump Hayley Steward 4.99 and Anna Pettit 4.17, Another Double came less than an hour later in the Shot Steward throwing 10.91 and Ellie Armstrong 7.55. The high Jump later on picked up another club double with Kira Angell and Pettit both leaping 1.50. in the triple jump Steward came 2nd with 9.35 and Georgina Bradford 3rd. back in the throws two second places came in the Javelin Pheobe Hoaen throwing 32.69 and Cheryl Angell 13.09, The Discus saw a B string win from Booker 21.77 and a third place in the A string A. Bradford 26.16.
On the track Kira Angell took a fantastic win in the 100m hurdles 18.5 and Bethan Philp won the 2000m Steeplechase 8.16.6, Steward won the B string 400m in 63.7 with Anna Pettit taking 3rd A string 62.9. Both Philp and G. Bradford took 2nd places in the 800m, later she came 4th A string in the 1500m with Hoaen taking 3rd B string. The longer 3k race saw Kate Monk take 3rd place which was matched by Rose Metalli in the B string. In the Sprints Steward earned her self a good 2nd place in the 200m 27.5 Both relay teams also fared well coming home in 2nd places clocking 54.7 in the 4×100 and 4.36 in the 4x400m
The Male side fared well as they were down with quite a few athletes competing in other championships, Luke Angell and Peter Saunders won the double in the Javelin with Angell throwing 53.17 and Saunders 36.36, another Double win came in the Triple Jump Saunders winning 12.54 and Oliver Bazin winning B string with 11.84, both teamed up in the long jump to take 2nd places in their strings. Best other results on the field was Nick Bull in the B string High Jump taking 2nd place 1.35. On the Track Bazin won his B string 100m 12.5, James Hills having to tackle both Sprints coming 4th 12.3 and 25.2 in 100m and 200m A strings. The mens gruelling 5000m both Ben Schiffer-Harte and Mitchell Poustie came 2nd in their Strings.
