Team Kennet bagged several medals at the recent Berkshire under 13 and longer age group distances championships held at Bracknell.
In the under 13 age groups Oliver Ford took home 2 gold medals in both the Shot 9.26 and Discus 23.95, Kian Hockaday added another Gold winning the Javelin 34.44 to make it a clean sweep in the throws for the boys, which the club have retained 5 years worth of titles in a row. Oliver Ford made it another Bronze to his name in the Javelin throwing 28.02 with Thomas Woodrow 7th 18.34.
Elsewhere new comer and talent Luca De-Fazio earned himself a Bronze in the 75m sprint clocking 11.1, with other club athletes Matt jones 11.4 and Woodrow missing out on the final. Matthew Jones and Oliver Humphrey took part in the long jump coming 6th and 10th. The boys 4x100m relay team came home in 3rd place to add another bronze to the tally.
In the girls Lucy Bennet ran well coming 5th in her 75m heat 11.2 and 150m 22.0 3rd in her heat. The 1000m event saw Annelise Gale 10th and Tara Hogan 12th.
The older age groups under 17 athletes Izzy Hole secured a Gold and county title in the 3000m clocking 11.35 while in the mens under 17 James McLaughlin had to settle for a silver on a sprint finish clocking 9.37.
