Team Kennet athletes struck 5 gold medals in the Field events at the Bracknell Young Athletes Open meeting to kick start the Track and Field season off over the weekend, Ben East was on form as he strengthened his Uk Number 2 spot this season with a new Club Javelin record of 46.53p.b. In the under 15 boys, more golds came from the boys throwers, Harry Booker claiming two of them in the Discus 33.92p.b. taking him to UK number 1 and Shot 10.41, Oliver Gregory throwing 18.22 in the hammer
Stuart Bladon hit Gold by winning the high jump with 1.75m in the under 17 age group, and the other Gold came in the under 13 boys Javelin with Kian Hockaday throwing 31.13p.b. to take him to UK number 3
Elsewhere in the under 17 mens Sprints Daniel Hockaday faired well in the 100m 12.71 and 200m 25.13 and Zach Montgomery 100m 12.72 and Shot 10.75
Under 13 boys Matthew Jones leapt 3.69 in the long jump, in the sprints ran 14.95 in the 100m and 30.91 in the 200m and Kian clocking 16.31 and 31.51 in 100/200m races.
Charlotte Booker threw 22.12 in the hammer and 19.41 in the Discus in the under 17 women’s while in the u13 girls Annelise Gale ran 3.39.03 in the 1000m and Aimee Dickson 2.02 in the 600m and 23.59 in the 150m.
