Berkshire XC Championships

Team Kennet had several athletes taking part in several County Championships over the weekend, in the Berkshire Championships Lucy Wells set of to retain her under 15 Girls title she won last year, she set of strong with the leaders maintaining the pace until the last third where she dropped to the second pack, a strong finish saw Lucy come home in Second place, in the same age group Izzy Hole was 20th.

Sam Hart secured a Silver Medal as well as he came 2nd in the under 17 mens age group one of the strongest age groups in the Championships, team mate Bradley Thomas was 14th

James McLaughlin another club athletes always picking up medals, came home in 2nd place in the under 15 boys race, a strong finish to keep a pack of four runners from catching him brought him home for his Silver, Cameron Langley was 22nd

The Senior womens race only Helen Preedy braved the elements to come home in 5th place in the vets.

The Senior mens and Vets races saw a great race up front where Callum O Neill kept up for half the race but slipped back to just miss out on the medals for an excellent 5th place, Chris Hall came 18th, Gavin Mclaughlin 19th and Dean Makar 30th

In the under 13 girls Nancy Eadie was 13th, in the under 13 boys Harry Davis 36th and the under 17 womens age group Emily Faulkner came 14th

The Hampshire Championships Molly Jones ran an excellent race and was just out pipped in the under 13 girls race to come home 5th, while in the Buckingham Championships Ben Schiffer-Harte was 46th in the Senior Mens Race
