Oxford Mail Round 2

Team Kennet Athletes ventured out to a frosty cold Adderbury Park in Banbury on sunday for the second round of the Oxford Mail Cross Country, Lucy Wells florishing with confidence timed her under 15 girls race to perfection to come away for her first victory in the league which has lifted her to second overall. Team mate Izzy Hole was 7th and Pheobe Hoaen 22nd meant they took 3rd team.

Last match winner Molly Jones had to settle for 3rd place in the under 13 girls race but still hangs on overall leader, but with a cluster of TK Yellow vests following had to settle for second team on the day. New comer Imogen Wiggen came 7th and Georgina Thomson 13th. Rebecca Thomson 14th, Annelise Gale 22nd and Nancy Easdie 23rd brought the B team home in 6th place and the C team were led by Pippa Thomas 32nd, Lily d’Arcy-Masters 35th and Emily Tucker 40th.

Zoe Alllen produced her best run so far wit han excellent 3rd place in the under 9 girls with Emma Davies 8th, Masie Hamilton-Unwin 9th and Caitlyn Davies 14th. In the under 11 girls Kirsten Fraser came home in 5th place closely followed by Tara Hogan in 9th and Aimee Dickson 15th best of u11s.

The under 17 women saw Newcomer Emily Faulkner finish strong in 5th place with more to come, Rosa Lawrence wasn’t to far behind in 8th place, while in the under 15 boys James McLaughlin came home in 4th place and team of Cameron Langley 10th and Toby Thomas 15th came 6th place overall. Bradley Thomas was the clubs only under 17 runner coming home in 12th place

The womens race Helen Preedy was 26th and Sue Francis 33rd, Sue lies in 2nd overall in the v45 age group. The men’s team came 7th in Division 3 with Chris Hall having a great race in 60th, Dean Makar 104th, Ben Schiffer-Harte 115th, Jonathon Phillips 175th and Colin Price 236th.

The under 9 boys Jack Pyke came home in 10th place, and Joseph Hoean 11th while in the older under 11 age group Edd Hall 17th and Digby Riggall 23rd best of the boys.
