Team Kennet had to settle for another third place on Saturday at Bournemouth in the Southern Athletics League Division 3 match.

Despite being very short of key athletes, there were some very good performances, Samuel Randall secured several wins on the day firstly in the 400m hurdles clocking 62.9 then later on in the flat 400m 54.8, in the Women’s 400m Holly Donohoe secured the women’s only win of the day in 62.8.
Back in the mens Luke Angell threw a season best in the Javelin to secure an excellent win with 57.00 throw. Several B string wins came from the high Jump with Nick Bull, Triple Jump George Biggs and Long Jump with Simon Scholes.
Scholes and ex Decathlon had a busy day, coming 2nd in the Hammer, 3rd in the A string Long Jump, then taking 2nd places in the Shot and Javelin.
Nick Bull also having a busy day, finishing 2nd places in the 800m, 3000m and 3km steeplechase. Back on the track in the mens new comer Tait Weekes came 3rd in the 100m 11.9 and matched that in the 200m B string 25.1, while Biggs came 3rd in the 200m A string 24.3, earlier coming 2nd b string in the 400m.
The A string Middle distances events were tackled by u17 Alex Colston coming 2nd in the 800m and 1500m and father Martyn Colston tackled the A string 3000m for 3rd place.
Bradley Thomas came 3rd A string in the 3km Steeplechase.
The womens section Donohoe came 3rd in the 200m A string 27.1 and Cheryl Angell 2nd B string, both Rosa Lawrence and Susie Drake came 2nd in the 800m and 1500m. The 400m hurdles Chloe spencer settled for 2nd A string.
In the Field the throws secured good points Deborah Montgomery coming 2nd A string Shot 8.00 and B string discus 20.88 and 3rd A string Javelin 21.09, Charlotte Booker coming 3rd in the B string Shot 5.97 2nd in the A sting Discus 23.38 and 2nd B string Hammer 16.51, and Cheryl Angell taking 3rd in the A string Hammer 17.08 and 2nd B string Javelin. In the Jumps Chloe Spencer was 3rd A string High Jump 1.43 and Drake 2nd B string and in the Long Jump both Donohoe and Spencer came 3rd places.
