Bracknell open

TK throwers got off to a good start at Bracknell on Saturday with excellent results. Harry Booker took gold with 9.62 in shot with Oliver Gregory taking silver with 7.69 in his first ever event as an u13. Both boys entered Discus with Harry taking gold 27.12 and Oliver taking bronze 17.75. All pbs too!. Ben East produced a pb in the Javelin throwing a massive 42.82 taking a gold medal, with more than 10m over his nearest rival. Charlotte Booker in her first u17 competition produced a Discus throw of 20.85 pb and Sophie Wheadon took 1st place in javelin with a pb of 23.03 to take gold, Discus SB of 15.97 silver and shot putt 4th with 6.72. Congratulations your all off to an excellent start. Be very proud of yourselves. See you all Wednesday.


Lee Valley Pentathlon U15 girls

2016-01-12 12.05.58 A good day for Kira Angell at Lee Valley on Sunday where she competed in her 3rd Pentathlon in the huge field of U15 Girls section. The Pentathlon consists of 5 events, 60m hurdles, High Jump, Shot Putt, Long jump and 800m, this is all one in a day. Kira took 4 pb’s away with her after an extremely long day. Ist event was 60m hurdles which she clocked a time of 10.43. High jump was the 2nd event but despite picking up a shoulder injury half way through, she still recorded a jump of 1.44m. Lying 11th at this stage and having a long wait, Kira’s weakest event was next, shot putt, but she managed a pb of 6.07. Long jump was next where a jump of 3.90m was recorded. Finally after yet another very long wait the 800m got underway, Kira clocked a time of 2.44.80 pb coming 3rd in her heat.. Overall Kira came 20th with a total of 2269 points – a new club record.
