Oxford Mail XC Match 5

Team Kennet were in the mix of medals in the last of the Oxford Mail  Cross Country League matches being held at Harwell.

The under 13 girls took the most of the medals. The large turn out all season saw the team take 2nd place overall with the B team 6th and C team 10th.  On the day Lucy Wells came through to take 3rd place in the race but just missed out on an individual overall medal finishing 4th.  Just one point ahead was Anna Pettit who didn’t run due to illness but claimed 3rd overall. Rebecca Thomson made sure she ended her season in amazing form to finish 6th with twin sister Georgina 14th secured another 2nd team on the day. The B team of Lucy Draper 20th, Phoebe Hoaen 22nd and Pippa Thomas 26th came 6th on the day, and Lily D’Arcy Masters 33rd and Poppy Bladon 36th made up the C team.

In the under 15 boys James McLaughlin finished 2nd overall although he didn’t run but team mates Josh Livingstone 12th, Bradley Thomas 13th and Ryan Cannons 14th secured a top 6 team place overall.  The under 15 girls team were 5th overall, on the day Rosa Lawrence came home in 6th with Izzy Hole 7th.

The under 13 boys saw Toby Thomas first home for the club again in 16th, Cameron Langley 18th and Jack Cannons 21st for 6th place team on the day but 5th overall, Oliver Bazin was next home in 24th and Joshua Sells 29th.

Another medal came in the vet ladies, Sue Francis picking up a Silver in the Vet 45 age group with Rachel Bladon just behind in 4th place. On the day Helen Preedy came home in 15th, with Francis 30th and Bladon 34th bringing the team home in 5th place and 5th overall in Division 1. The mens team saw Chris Turner 78th, Chris Hall 83rd, Dean Makar 105th, Jonathon Phillips 136th, Chris Thomson 147th, Kym D Arcy Masters 152nd and Alastair Tucker 198th

In the younger races Kian Hockaday picked up the best place in the u11 boys with a 6th place, Sammy Campbell 9th, Harry Davis 10th, Digby Riggall 15th, Matthew Jones 16th, Toby Clark 17th, Edd Hall 24th and Thomas Hall 28th. In the under 11 girls Annelise Gale was 13th, Abigail Horton 24th, Annabel Gibson 27th and Emily Tucker 29th while the u9s saw Ava Elverson 13th and in the Boys Sam Horton 9th, Kian D Arcy Masters 10th and Joseph Hoaen 11th.
