Team Kennet had a massive squad at the recent Berkshire u13 and long distance Championships held at Bracknell.
Millie Quaintance threw a massive throw of 32.79m in the Javelin to smash the County record and the clubs record set by English Schools Champion Izzy McHattie to take Gold, and Phoebe Hoaen took the Bronze medal with a best throw of 26.20.
Anouk Mauree surprised herself leaping to 1.35 in the high jump to claim a silver medal on count back clearing same height as the winner.
More medals came in the Discus as Maddie Barnes claimed her first title by winning with 22.88 and a brilliant Silver came from Poppy Bladon. Barnes threw 8.26 in the Shot to take a Bronze medal with Hoaen 5th 6.55
In the 1000m Lucy Wells came 3rd in 3.19.3 in the biggest field of the day Hoaen 10th 3.28.3, Lucy Draper 11th 3.32.8, Izzy Brown 13th 3.47.7
Barnes came 2nd in her 75m heat in 11.3 to finish 7th in the final 11.1 while in the sprint hurdles Ellen Hill came 6th in the final 13.1 and Mauree also made the final coming 8th 14.1. In the long jump Quaintance came 6th 3.82, Brown 8th and Bladon 15th.
The boys made sure they were in the mix as well, Harry Booker won his Shot 8.01 with Ben East taking 3rd place 6.74, East made sure he won the Javelin with 32.48, he also took Silver in the High Jump with 1.37
Harry Booker claimed another Silver in the Discus 22.35 and Tom Hills took a Bronze 15.57 as TK made sure they dominated all the field events.
On the track no medals from the boys Cameron Dunbar came 4th in heat 2 of the 75m 11.3, in the 150m Dunbar matched the same position again 22,3 and Hills was 4th in his heat 22.7 The 600m Oliver Brawshaw came home in 6th place 1.48.4 while Dunbar took part in the 1000m coming 9th 3.34.7
In the longer distances the women’s u20 3000m Georgina Bradford became County Champion winning in 11.32.3 and Susie Drake just missed a medal in the u17 women’s 1500m Steeplechase 5.43.8
