Team Kennet brought home quite a bag of silverware from the last Oxford Cross Country League held at Harwell on Sunday.

Sam Hart in the under 15 boys strode ahead to win the under 15 boys race and take the individual title on his way. The team just missed out on team medals coming 4th overall, with Tom Murrell 8th and Josh Livingstone 10th.

Anna Pettit won her under 13 girls age group race with a convincing win, but it just wasn’t enough to take the overall title as she had to settle for runners up but another solid team performance winning on the day almost got runners up spot overall with Izzy Hole having her best run of the year in 4th place, Lucy Wells 10th and Pheobe Hoaen 23rd.

In the Senior Mens race it was the under 20s that earned themselves the awards. Nathan Gillis first home in 10th place, with Callum O’Neill 13th which meant he took runners up spot in the under 20 age group and Alex Hanson third home for the club in 37th was 3rd overall u20. Martin Fray was 92nd, Dean Makar 95th, Gavin McLaughlin 119th, Jonathan Phillips 132nd and Chris Thomson 173rd

The Senior Women had to settle for Runners Up spot in their Division, with Sue Francis 10th on the day, Helen Preedy 19th both just missing out on Vet 35 age group awards, and Lucy Gettins 38th.

The under 13 boys had a mixed season with 8 different boys running throughout the season. They managed a creditable runners up spot overall in the league. James Mclaughlin was first home in 3rd place, with Ryan Cannons 10th and Toby Thomas 14th for the A team, with Jack Cannons 17th, Cameron Langley 26th and Alexander Long 32nd

The under 15/17 womens age groups saw Georgina Bradford 5th in the u17s with Chloe Scaplehorn 11th, in the u15s Holly Donohoe 9th, Susie Drake 16th, Rosa Lawrence 20th and Effie Dollar 22nd

In the younger age groups Aimee Dickson took overall 3rd in the U9 girls as the club had the biggest showing of all the clubs overall for the season averaging 23 per each round. On the day, Aimee was the highest placed of the club athletes in 5th place in the u9 girls with India Farrant 9th and Catherine Jones 22nd. In the u9 boys Digby Riggall was 6th, Edward Hall 7th, Thomas Hall 14th, Henry Morgan 23rd and Sebastian Simpson 24th. In the u11 girls Lucy Draper was 9th, Georgina Thomson 10th, Rebecca Thomson 12th, Annelise Gale 13th, Lily D-Arcy Masters 25th and Emily Tucker 35th. And finally in the u11 boys Maxim Brown as most of the season came in 9th, Oliver Brashaw 10th, Cameron Dunbar 12th, James Wallace 21st, Charlie Hart 22nd, James Leach 23rd, Sammy Campbell 28th, Matthew Jones 34th, Karl Smith 40th, Oliver Minnns 41st.
