South of England XC Champs

Team Kennet had eight athletes competing at the South of England Cross Country Championships on Saturday down on the Coast in Brighton. Lucy Wells gained a lot of experience in her under 13 girls race coming 118th out of some 250 plus runners. James McLaughlin came a creditable 57th out of 220 runners in the under 13 boys race. Holly Donohoe was 96th out of 235 with Rosa Lawrence 218th in the under 15 girls race while the club’s best performance came from Sammy Hart who finished 17th out of 233 in the under 15 boys where Tom Murrell also came 121st. Callum O’Neill in the under 20s race finished with a superb 53rd place. Senior athlete Dean Makar came 526th in the Men’s Race.
