It was Silver haven for Team Kennet at the Berkshire Cross Country Championships on Saturday at Hungerford Common, best results of the day came from the under 20 mens race as the team of four came away just 1 point from taking the team prize to settle for the Silver, Nathan Gillis secured runners up spot with team mate Alex Hanson securing Bronze with Callum O Neill 5th place and Daniel Collis 9th all four looking like being picked for the County team.
The under 13 girls packed in well, although still missing a few key athletes Anna Pettit found herself in a battle for the Bronze medal but had to settle for an excellent 6th place with Izzy Hole just behind in 8th, Lucy Wells produced one of her best runs over the season for 13th place with Lucy Draper having a brilliant race to finish 15th as the team secured Silver team medals. Pheobe Hoaen came in 25th and Izzy Brown 33rd
Silver Team Medals came from the Veteran mens team with Deam Makar 28th first home overall, with Gavin McLaughlin 32nd, Justin Wells 36th, Mike Sheridan 37th and Colin Price 43rd.
James McLaughlin just missed out on medals coming in 4th place in the under 13 boys and Stuart Bladon 19th
Sam Hart came home 6th in the under 15 boys race with Tom Murrell 15th
In the under 17 womens race Georgina Bradford 11th and Carys Cox 16th and the club just missed out in a team in the under 15 girls with Holly Donohoe 16th, Susie Drake 21st and Rosa Lawrence 24th
Helen Preedy was the clubs only women in the ladies race where she came 13th and just missed out on Bronze in the vets age group.
Elsewhere in the Hampshire Cross Country Championships Lee Tolhurst came 46th in the mens race out of nearly 150 finishers and in the u11 minor race Daisy Tolhurst came 37th
