Team Kennet Cross Country runners kept up their campaign to win a lot of medals at the end of the season in the second round of the Oxford Cross Country League held at Oxford.
The Ladies Stormed to another team victory in Division 2 to push their lead out further overall, Helen Preedy led the way coming home in 18th, with Sue Francis 21st and Lucy Gettins 47th, with Philomena Mburu 75th and Vicky Adams 94th the other team members.
James McLaughlin made sure the under 13 boys were out in force and keep their chances of winning their age group, with a 3 teams finishing, a good 3rd place on the day from McLaughlin, last match winner Sam Clarke struggled to 9th place this time with Ryan Cannons 10th. The B team of Jack Cannons 17th, Toby Thomas 18th and Cameron Langley 19th was good enough for 4th place with both teams in top 5 overall. Joshua Sells led the C team in 26th and Alexander Long 32nd.
The under 13 girls team came 4th on the day, led by Anna Pettit in 4th place with Izzy Hole 9th, Phoebe Hoaen 21st and Izzy Brown 33rd
Sam Hart made sure he was in the mix finishing in 2nd place in the under 15 boys as the team came 4th overall, Tom Murrell came in 6th with Josh Livingstone 9th.
Georgina Bradford came 4th in the under 17 women’s race with Chloe Scaplehorn 11th combined with the u15 girls the team were 5th, Holly Donohoe just made top 10 with 9th place, Susie Drake 18th and Rosa Lawrence 21st
The Senior men had a big turnout, with 2 teams fielded, the A team coming 3rd on the day, with Alex Hanson 12th place (3rd u20), Callum O’Neill 32nd, Lee Tolhurst 48th, Chris Hall 106th, Daniel Collis 116th, Martin Fray 121st and Iain Adams 137th. The B team were 17th in Division 3 Chris Treacher 148th, Mike Sheridan 153rd, Jonathon Phillips 190th, Dick Kearn 198th, Chris Thomson 217th, Colin Price 223rd.
Lucy Draper was the best of the young ones, she came home in 7th place in the under 11 girls as TK made up a quarter of the field, Georgina Thomson 17th, Rebecca Thomson 18th, Daisy Tolhust 26th, Brooke Asser 27th, Kate Newman 28th, Molly Leach 36th, Annabel Gibson 37th, Pippa Thomas 38th, Emily Tucker 40th, Lily Darcy-Masters 55th. James Wallace led the boys in 9th place, Maxim Brown 11th, James Leach 16th, Charlie Hart 23rd, Cameron Dunbar 24th, Sammy Campbell 29th, Matt Jones 34th, Peter Aird 39th, Milo Brown 45th and Karl Smith 47th.
In the under 9 section new comer Digby Riggall came 7th, with Edward Hall tracking him all the way 8th, Thomas Hall 13th and Sebastian Simpson 23rd and in the girls India Farrant 8th
