Team Kennet’s athletes tackled the wet and muddy conditions at the 2nd Oxford Mail cross country league on Sunday at Cullham Park near Abingdon. Tom Uden had anther superb run in the u13 boys to come home in 2nd place with Aaron Conway 21st.
The u13 girls were just pipped into 2nd team place on the day with Yasmin Ryder 5th, Georgina Bradford 7th, Alex Maughan 10th and Chloe Scaplehorn 17th.
Rachel Elliott led the ladies team home with anther 2nd place with good club support from Sue Francis 8th and Helen Preedy in 17th for the team to come home also in 2nd place as in the last fixture, Sonya Watson was 75th.
The u15/17 mens saw an excellent run by Michael Randall in third place to help the team home in 2nd place, Aston Nicholls recording a best ever in the league in 5th place with Luke Conway 15th, Samuel Randall 34th and Josh Pike 50th made up the B team in 18th.
The mens team saw another 2nd place in division 2 with Mark Shepherd 26th, Nick Awbery 30th, Tom Milburn 42nd, James Moorcroft 95th Lee Jones 113rd, Simon Watson 116th, Rob Findlay 117th, with Peter Linton 161, Colin Price 175 and Roger Davis 209th
The u11 girls were Carli Nicholls 26th, Chloe Jones 39th, Elli Randall 41st and Elysia O’Dell 45th. The u11 boys Alex Winch 14th and Max Uden 28th. The U15/17 ladies were Katie Herbert 20th and Emma Seymour 22nd.
