On Sunday, Aston and Carli Nicholls competed in the Youth and Tristar 1 categories finishing 21st and 6th respectively. It was a very strong field with competition from the top Triathletes in the UK; and bodes well for the rest of the Triathlon season

The London Marathon
Well done to all five of the Team Kennet members who took part in the London Marathon. John Marriott was first to finish in 3hrs11min – a good sign for the UK Ironman this summer. He was followed by Bart Kuijten at 3hrs28min, Elisabeth Crossman 3hrs42min, Dave Mitcham 3hrs53min and finally John Crossman in 4hr27min.
Andy wins first 10mile TT
Andy Laycock won the Andover Wheelers 10 mile middlemarkers race in 22.10 beating 120 other riders in the process and collecting real prize money! This gives Andy a possible qualifying time for the National 10 mile championships to be held next month in Newbury.
Winchester Triathlon
Five Team Kennet members took part in the first race of the 2009 Club Series. 325 triathletes started on a near perfect spring morning. Aston Nicholls completed a great 400m swim in 5.48 helping him to first place in the under 20’s category with 4 years to spare.

Reading Half Marathon
Tom Milburn was Team Kennet’s best finisher in Reading’s Half Marathon on Sunday 29th March in his first attempt at the distance. The under 20 runner was a creditable 205th in the 11,000 plus field after clocking 1 hour 22 minutes 19 seconds.
Club mate Guy Watts was just over three minutes adrift in 319th place [...]
